- About
-
The Bishop of Oxford, Samuel Wilberforce performed a ceremony at the laying of the foundation stone for St Luke’s Maidenhead in 1865, but the church was not consecrated until the following year.
Nowadays, along with two other churches in the area, St Luke’s contributes to international interfaith activity by offering a termly International Taizé service.
The town is home to Ray Mill Island, which attracts many visitors due to its history, sculptures and lovely location.
